Trail Description:
The Beal Plantation: The Beal Plantation is possibly the oldest known plantation in North America. Professor Beal planted over 5,000 trees of 76 species in 1888. The plantation is home to multiple research activities. A parking lot was developed along with an ADA accessible interpretive trail in year 2000, highlighting the unique features of the plantation.
